FAQ

Questions general contractors ask about Telamont

How does Telamont find conflicts between drawings and specifications?

Telamont reads the drawings and the specifications together and compares what each one requires for the same element. When they disagree, for example a beam size on a structural sheet and a different size in the spec section, it flags the conflict and cites both the sheet and the section, so the team can settle it or turn it into an RFI. See risk detection and our guide to drawing and specification conflicts.

What documents and contract forms does Telamont read?

Telamont reads prime contracts, subcontracts, technical specifications, drawings, geotechnical studies and the building codes added to the project. It works with every contract form, from AIA, ConsensusDocs and CCDC to owner-written contracts, along with their supplementary conditions. Every finding cites the page it comes from. Boards then gather the obligations of each contract on one page.

Does Telamont integrate with Procore and SharePoint?

Yes. Telamont brings in project documents from Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, SharePoint, Box, Dropbox and Microsoft Project. It sends its alerts to Microsoft Teams, Slack, Outlook and iMessage, where the team already works.

Does Telamont work on public projects?

Yes. Public contracts often add supplementary conditions, compliance requirements and strict notice provisions, and Telamont reads them with the rest of the project documents. It flags compliance requirements the specifications do not carry and tracks notice requirements with their deadlines, and notice drafting prepares the notice from the clause.

Is our project data used to train AI models?

No. Customer documents are not used to train AI models, and the AI model providers Telamont works with retain none of the data they process. Our AI principles explain how data is handled.

How is Telamont different from ChatGPT or Copilot?

Telamont is built for construction project documents. It reads the contract, specs and drawings of a project together, runs reviews designed for construction risk, cites the page behind every finding and keeps track of what the team decides. Read the full comparison.

Is Telamont a good fit for a mid-size general contractor?

Yes. Telamont works with general contractors of every size, mid-size firms included. It reviews the documents of each project to the same standard, answers the team's questions with citations, and connects to the tools the team already uses.

How long does it take to get started?

A few days at most. The team connects the project documents or uploads them, and the first review runs right away.
